A few more days.... Just a few more days....

I never thought that going on a business trip can be tough. It's really just more than fun and games. We have work from 7am until around 4pm - sometimes going till 6pm due to the extent of the training we have. We only had one weekend to really move around the tourist destinations - this not including the travel time and the effort we put in finding these places.

In my stay here in Toronto, I have gone to the Niagara Falls which was a 2 hour ride from our hotel, the CN Tower which is said to be the tallest structure in the world, the Royal Ontario Museum which had the Feathered Dinosaurs Exhibit, the Casa Loma which is I think the oldest castle in Canada, and the Art Gallery of Ontario which had this beautiful exhibit on The Shape of Colour. I also gone to Panorama which is a bar on top of a tall building and has a great view of the downtown part of Toronto. I'll be taking pictures tonight since the last time I did not have my camera working fine...

Tomorrow I'll be flying back to Manila and I'm very excited. Life here is tough. It's difficult to live here most especially at the start because of all the adjustment to the kind of culture, the kind of food, the buckets and platters and platters of food, and all the home sickness that comes along with it. I've been calling home almost every night because I really miss going out with my friends and my family and the Filipino food and the Filipino culture and the Filipino way of life...

Visiting other countries also gives you a better appreciation of what you already have. Filipinos is really very rich in culture compared to these American countries. The dance, the food, the songs, how things are done, the appreciation of the community while still having the respect for individuality.

There are also a lot of things that Filipinos have to change. The people here are very polite and courteous, most especially when driving. Canadians are also very aware of the facts within and outside their country and they make a stand. They are a very upfront and assertive kind of people. Even political outlook towards the international relations of the US, Canadians have a lot to say.

But in all fairness, Canadians are just like Filipinos, only they are white and have blond hair. The diversity of Filipino culture is just as diverse if not more than that of Canadian diversity. There really is hope for the Philippines if only we could tip the Balance that God placed in our country...
